On the 7th of February, 1934, Nora and Eustace Charlton
welcomed their fourth child, and named her Doris Joyce. She grew
up with her brother and sisters in Kingston, Jamaica.
She was married to Claudius Jackson and owned a furniture
business in Kingston. They migrated to England, where they
spent several years. Then they returned to Jamaica and opened
a restaurant. They both left for the United States. Doris worked
several years with Equitable Life Insurance until retirement. After
her husband passed away, she came to Florida to live for several
years. She suffered a stroke and passed away on February 23, 2021.
Loving memories will remain in the hearts of: her sisters, Iris
(Peggy) Robinson, Elaine Charlton, Nora Boyd, Cecile Coar, and
Lavern Pinder; brothers-in-law, James Pinder, David Coar, and
Norman Boyd; nieces and nephews, Sadie McBean, Alester Shaw
(deceased), Glen Robinson, Carol Robinson, Gary Robinson,
Dave Linton, Rosemarie Boyd, Richard Boyd, Juliet Gipson, Jason
Pinder, Antoinette Binns, and Dwayne Binns; and numerous
cousins, other family members, and friends.
