On Feb. 20th, Sara Sample Davis, woke in the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. Sara was born to Jack and Molly Sample on June 30th, 1947, in Indianapolis, In. She is survived by her sons, David Hawley, Tallahassee, Fl; Jeremy (Shannon) Sample, Colorado Springs, Co, and grandsons Preston, John, Bryan and Russell (Robin) Davis, Rockledge, Fl; granddaughters Beth and Addy and her two sisters, Cynthia Wood, Orange Park, Fl, & Kathi Oppenheimer, Austin, Tx. She was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews. Sara was predeceased by her parents and husband, Randy Davis.
Sara's family moved to Florida in 1954 and settled in Tallahassee in 1959. She attended Augusta Raa, Leon and graduated from Florida High (1965). Before attending FSU, Sara served in the Navy during the Vietnam war era, state side in California. She was a mortgage banker and retired from the Department of Environmental Protection in 2013. In later years, she was a member of the Tallahassee Community Chorus, Daughters of the Holy Cross and All Saints Angelican Church.
Please join us in a celebration of life held March 11th at 10:30 at All Saints Anglican Church, 3945 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Fl. Burial will be completed in Ingram Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg, Il, at a later date.
