Meg and I were best friends throughout high school and at FSU.  She loved to visit in our home where, with six kids, it was always loud and boisterous. I loved to visit in her home because Meg was an only child and it was quiet and calm.  We were perfect friends for each other!  Through the years we moved apart living in different states but kept in touch and visited in each other’s own homes. Meg was smart and witty, loved her family and her boat, and was a sweet and wonderful friend. She will be truly missed. 

Loved her laugh, loved her smile, but most of all I loved the way she always spoke of her children.
Wish we could have been with her more and shared with her more. She has always been a shining star of the Class of '64.


Meg was a colleague when we both worked at the Florida Department of Corrections and during that time she became a good friend.  As co-workers do, we'd share views on current events and came to find that we had many perspectives in common.  She was proud of her son, Walt, and would always tell me when he was home from the service.  You could see her pride in how she spoke of him.  After I left Corrections, we would occasionally share e-mails and I was always pleased to hear from her.  As we all move on with our lives, we sometimes let communications lapse.  I had not heard from Meg in a while and now I regret not staying in closer touch.  

My condolences to Meg’s family and friends for her loss too soon.    

Meg was a good friend over the years and I will miss her very much. During the Pandemic, we passed those emails back and forth every few days, sharing many thoughts and ideas.  One in particular, touched me.  I'd sent some travel videos and she spotted one river path in Germany where she recalled bicycling each week with Walt to the weekly market when he was a toddler.  In the early days of the Pandemic, it was nice to provide some happy memories to her!
