Marlene A. Marshall

She was born March 12, 1945 in Floydada, Texas to George B. Marshall and Margarette Ann Benn Marshall. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at Texas Tech University. After completing her degree, she worked as a Medical Technologist throughout her career in the states of Texas, New Mexico, and California.

Marlene is survived by her brother, George Benn Marshall (and wife Ellen Marshall) of Grayson, Georgia, nieces, Donna Marshall of Tallahassee, Florida; Deborah Morgan (and husband Stephen, and daughter Ashley) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and a nephew, Harvey L. Horne (and wife Jean, and their children) of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She is also survived by an aunt, Martha L. Benn. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Myrna White and Barbara Marshall.

A visitation will be held at the Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel, Sunday, September 3rd from 5:00-6:00pm. A memorial service celebrating Marlene's life will follow beginning at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations in Marlene's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
