Mark Michael Aronson, age 67, passed away with his family by his side at the Tallahassee Hospice House on Monday, March 17, 2014. He was born in Bronx, New York to the late Pearl and Herbert Aronson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelika J. M. Aronson, and son Michael L. Aronson.
Mark graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1964. He enlisted in the US Air Force in November 1965 beginning a 28 year career that spanned three continents and life of adventure. He married his wife, Angelika, on his first tour in Germany in 1968.
After retiring from the Air Force, Mark began working for the Army Civil Service in Heidelberg Germany. He worked another ten years before finally retiring and moving to Florida in 2006 to be closer to his daughter and family.
Mark loved to take vacations, driving his Mercedes, playing computer games, traveling to Germany to visit friends and family, and always enjoyed a good cup of coffee.
Mark was survived by his daughter, Sandra Martin and her husband, Brian Martin, and two grandchildren, Kymberly Mattson and Brandon Martin; Sisters, Doreen Rosenfeld and Rene’ Diamond and her husband Howard; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Culley's MeadowWood on Timberlane Road between 2pm – 4pm on Saturday March 22, 2014. There will be a service celebrating his life on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 11:00am with a reception following.
