Kevin Richard Cleaver, born in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 14, 1962, passed away in Tallahassee Florida on March 7, 2020. He was 57 years old. Kevin was a beloved son to Donald and Beverly Cleaver, brother to Jennifer and William Creighton, and father to Danielle and Kevin Jr.
During his life, Kevin was a proud father to Danielle and Kevin Jr, his kids were his life. He played an active and complete role in their lives and found so much joy in his children. Not only was he generous with his money, he was generous with his time, his love, his advice, and he always found a way to help everyone when they needed support most. Kevin’s love was fierce and limitless.
He enjoyed keeping up on current events and didn’t shy away from sharing his opinion. Kevin enjoyed playing guitar and composing funny, witty lyrics. He often wrote satires about current events and enjoyed sharing them with his family. He was an avid fishermen and explorer for most of his life and took his love for viewing all sports up a notch as he was fishing less and less.
At the Florida Institute of Technology, Kevin graduated #1 in his ROTC class and received the George C. Marshal Award. Then he graduated #1 in his platoon at Fort Bragg on his way to beginning his career serving our country as a Military Intelligence Officer. Captain Kevin Cleaver was a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army for 12 years, including deployments to Germany and Kuwait. During his time served, Captain Cleaver received a Joint Service Commendation Medal, a Meritorious Service Medal, and multiple Army Commendation Medals, as well as a parachutist badge. He was truly honored to be the best published (classified) author you’ll never read about.
