Kenneth Russell Redding, Jr., 69, of Tallahassee, FL made it to his final resting place November 19, 2016. He fought a long battle and overcame many obstacles. In the end he was tired and needed the break only our Heavenly Father could provide.
Kenneth was born in Blakely, GA on January 11, 1947 to Kenneth Russell Redding Sr. and Marian Landrum. He graduated from Leon High School in1966 where he was a member of the band. He then joined the Air Force where he proudly served for four years. He later retired as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal service.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Sandra Redding, two sons, Kenneth (Rusty) Russell Redding III (Sandra Demay); and William (Bo) Bryant Atkinson III. Other survivors include three daughters, Karen Berry (Rodney); Tammy Thomas (Ike); and Dina Atkinson (Landon Oliveto). His grandchildren Brittany Benitez, Brandon Benitez, Kayla Redding, Riley Redding, Jacob Thomas, Mandalyn Thomas and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Tim Redding (Jodi); and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He took great pride in his family and friends which he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Peggy Kinser.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home located at 700 Timberlane Road. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 PM at Tallahassee National Cemetery on Apalachee Parkway.
