Howard was a graduate of Florida State University earning a master’s degree in environmental engineering. He had varied careers during his lifetime, ranging from a machinist at the Florida State University National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, to installing shelving for new store openings, and anything in between.
A lover of both the beach and the mountains, Howard was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed working on his bikes and other vehicles. He was a dog lover and was always surrounded by his furry friends.
He is survived by his father, Walter Kolb; sister, Heidi Carpentieri (Robert); niece, Caroline Wilder (Brian); nephew, Lucas Wilder; and Howard's wife, Jenny Mock. Howard was an honorary uncle to several friends' children, who called him “Uncle Howie". He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith.
A memorial service for Howard will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
