Gloria Sanderson Braman was born June 10, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan. She went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2023. Gloria was preceded in death by beloved husband, Dr. Robert S. Braman, Sr., and precious son, James William Braman.
Gloria is survived by her son, Bob Braman, Jr, and Daughter in law, Debra Braman (Tallahassee), Daughter in law, Deborah Kostedt Braman (Ecuador), Grandchildren: James David Braman (Emily) (Baltimore), Sarah Irene Braman (Raleigh), Robert Steven Braman III (Tallahassee) and Tyler Reed Braman (Bozeman). Great grandchildren: A.J. Braman, Lily Braman, and Zac Braman (all of Baltimore).
Gloria and Bob, Sr. were married for 59 wonderful years. They were virtually inseparable, bonding over both being only children. Gloria was a Medical Technologist and worked over 20 years at Tampa General Hospital. In retirement, Gloria traveled the world with Bob, Sr. with his many research projects, chemical conferences and teaching assignments, including a semester at the Imperial College of London and the University of Paris. Gloria was an incredible mother to her sons Jim and Bob, Jr., and doted over her four beloved grandchildren. Gloria was a precinct worker for the Democratic Party and was always active in local politics. She was a frequent community volunteer, including Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Gloria was a devout Methodist and proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
A graveside service for Gloria will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Lutz Cemetery, Lutz, FL.
