Gary Ray Love, age 63, of Tallahassee passed away June 3, 2015 at the Big Bend Hospice House in the presence of his loving family. He was born on June 24,1951 in Tallahassee, Fl. to Charles Love and Doris Kittrell Love. He retired from the Leon County Sheriff's Office after 30 years of service. Gary was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.He was an avid sports fan who loved NASCAR racing, FSU football, and watching his grandson Bradley play baseball. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family more than anything. He was always passionate about the care of his home, belongings, and yardwork. Gary is survived by his parents, Charles and Doris Love; his wife of 42 years, Susan; one son, Bryan Love; and two daughters, Katie Love of Wakulla, and Kellie (Billy) Willis of Tallahassee; one sister, Sherry (Bobby) Brooks of Chipley, Fl.; two grandchildren, Emilie and Bradley Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road.Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shands Cancer Center Fund in his name at the following address: UF Foundation, PO Box 14425, Gainesville, FL, 32604.
