Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18 2012 for Dorothy Beckham Schuck at 1:00PM for visitation, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm. Services will be held at Cully's Meadow Wood Chapel at 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee .
Dorothy, fondly known as DOT, was born in Tampa, Fl. Jan.25, 1926. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and joined the FBI in Washington D.C. Returning to Tampa she worked for General Telephone Co. where she was an officer in the local chapter of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Dorothy located to Tallahassee in 1968 where she worked with the Askew-Adams campaign and later working for the State of Florida. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church, Big Bend Chapter of the March of Dimes, United Daughters of the Confederacy and many national charitable organizations for under-privileged children. Dorothy enjoyed reading, watching christian broadcasting and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Schuck; parents, William C. Beckham Sr.and Ruth Cornelius Beckham; three sisters, Martha Ruth Beckham, Virginia Beckham Childs, Betty Rose Beckham Smith. She is survived by her brother, William C. Beckham, Jr.(Margaret) of Havana Fl; nephews, Dallas Smith(Jill) Rustin Fl, Clint Beckham(Missy) Bainbridge Ga., Jay Childs(Ann) Holiday Fl; nieces, Marta Ruth Cobb, Anchorage, Alaska, Celeta Childs Duncan, Palm Harbor, FL, Johnny Sue Childs, Tampa, FL, Erin Beckham Milligan(Heath), Havana, FL, Lori Lee Beckham Havana, FL.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallhassee, Florida.
