Dorothy E Barcio, 78, of Tallahassee died Friday (9/7) at Capital Regional Medical Center. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania she first came to Tallahassee in 2004 then moved to Lake City for 10 years before returning here in 2016. Dorothy was the wife of a career military man and following her husband as he was moved from post to post. She supported him by hosting and setting up receptions and welcoming events. She enjoyed doing crafts and was an expert shopper. She also did a lot of volunteer activities at hospitals and other places. Even though she enjoyed activities with others, her family was always first and they acknowledge her as being a good mother and wife.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John; two daughters: Christine (Jerry) Barcio-Snyder of Tallahassee, Debbie (Nathaniel) Broughton of Washington; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
