Anthony was born December 20, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Pauline Hall. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business with a concertation in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix. He honorably served 20 years in the United States Navy. He later accepted the privilege of helping to mentor the future leaders of the United States Navy when he accepted a position at Florida A&M University ROTC. He met and married Gwendolyn “Gwen” Johnson while stationed in New Orleans, LA. They later raised a very talkative and energic daughter, Geraldine “Geri” Hall.
Anthony had two passions, chess and mentoring the future leaders of the United States Navy. He loved the game of chess. He called it, The Wise Man’s Game. His passion for mentoring others came from his belief that anyone can succeed in life with a little guidance. He was an enthusiastic lover of music. He had the honor to DJ many house parties, but the world was not ready for his talents and his vinyl collection. Some assumed he was an intimidating man because of his stoic look, but once you had the privilege to experience his sense of humor, you never stopped laughing.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline. He is survived by his wife Gwen, his only child Geri, the aunt who raised him – Betty, his brothers Toussaint and Damien, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held via Zoom on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2pm.
