Troy Lee Rose

Troy Lee Rose was born on November 4th, 1952 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Orville Albert and Vida Beatrice (Long) Rose. He was raised with five brothers and one sister, Michael, Stanley, Larry, Roy, Ike, and Ina Bell. He attended high school and finally achieved his GED. He worked hard his entire life and retired as a Foreman and Heavy Equipment Operator for Express metal Fabricators. He was dedicated, hard working, loyal and helped everyone that worked with him. On September 2nd, 1969, he married the love of his life and the mother of his children, Janet Leola Westmoreland. Together they raised a family of three children, Justin Lee, Amber Lee Jenee, and Jennifer Louise. Troy loved the Lord and loved music, so it was no wonder that he spent his off hours playing guitar and singing praise and worship songs in the living room, at River Valley Baptist Church, to his skilled nurses, anywhere, anytime! When he wasn’t listening to Praise songs, he was listening to the old classic country and western music. If the day was nice, the garden called. The farm animals held a special place in his heart as well, the horses, donkeys, chickens, all got a little attention. There was nothing better than a day spent hunting or fishing. His nephews even came over and helped bait his trot line that ran up and down the river. If it had a motor, he could fix it, it didn’t matter if it were a car, pickup, truck, you name it. He kept up his yard and never tired of being outside. The greatest joy was when he held a grandchild in his arms, and rocked them to sleep, singing a gospel song. Their laughter was music to his ears. Troy never gave up, never gave in, worked from sun up to sun down and never tired of the view from his own backyard. Life was beautiful just the way he found it and the Lord’s handiwork was all around him. The Lord saw his good and faithful servant tire from all the day to day strain and called Troy to his heavenly home on May 5th, 2022 at his home surrounded by the people that knew him and loved him the most in life. Troy was 69 years old and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and father, his beloved wife, Janet in 2021, his son, Justin Lee Rose, daughter Jennifer Louise Rose-Green, three brothers, Michael Rose, Stanley Rose, Larry Rose, and one sister-in-law, Melbra Rose.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Amber Lee Jenee Rose of Lowery, OK, nephew Bryan Westmoreland, who lived with the family for a short time, of Tahlequah, OK, his twin brother, Roy Rose and wife Penny of Hulbert, OK, Ike Rose and wife Sue of Tahlequah, sister Ina Bell Trammel and husband Gerald of Moody, OK, and sister –in-law Karen Rose of Cedar Crest, OK. Troy lives on in his five grandchildren, John David green and wife Ashley of Hulbert, Jacob Austin Troy Green and wife Dezi of Lowery, Gaelen Taylor Erin Rose and wife Randilyn of Tahlequah, Gabriel Justin Lee Anchie Livers and wife Gerycah of Lowery, and Jaeda Lavena Destiny Noel Aurora Lee Rose “Rosie” Livers of Lowery, OK. His great grandchildren include Travis Dreadfulwater, Jace Dreadfulwater, Troy Green, Jayden Gibson, Lyric Gallup, Kayden Luper, Tommy Luper, Ophellya Leola Livers - “Papa’s baby doll”, and two soon to join the family, Violet Green and Janet Rose, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones, including the children who called him “Pa” , all too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Troy Lee Rose will be held on Friday May 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Preston Russell officiating. Gabriel Livers will deliver the eulogy. The family will host a visitation on Thursday, May 12th, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Honorary pallbearers for Troy include Doyle Tinnin, Michael James Rose, Jacen Rose, Travis Foster, Gerald Trammel, and Edward Deckard.
