Terri Lynn Owens, 42, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep in the arms of her husband Michael on October 24, 2023. Terri was born on May 3rd, 1981, in Mexico. She was adopted at 3 days old by Steve and Toni Morse and brought to Tahlequah. Terri grew up North of Tahlequah and attended Grandview School until 9th grade, when she started high school at Tahlequah High. She graduated in 1999, having been an active member of the choir. After high school, she attended NSU, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. Rather than continue her education in Psychology, she continued working for Superior Gage Service, a family business started by her grandfather in 1967.
During her first year of college Terri met Michael Owens. They married on May 19th, 2001 and had their first son, Zack, in November. In June of 2005, Terri gave birth to their second son Toby. Two years later Terri and Michael were blessed with their daughter Macy in November of 2007.
Terri had a gigantic heart and a lot of love to give. As a result, the Owens home and the home of Terri’s parents became a popular hangout for friends of the kids. Terri considered any child in her presence her “adopted” child. She loved it when they all called her mom. Over the years several of those “adopted” children moved into Terri and Michael’s home and truly became part of the family. Even though some of them moved out over time, they continued to visit and stay in touch with Terri. It can honestly be said that she had a huge impact on all of their lives.
Though Terri and Michael had their ups and downs, as all couples do, Terri never wavered in her undying love for Michael.

Terri was predeceased by Her Aunt Bev, Beverly Roach, her “Granny B”, Joy Barrows, Her Papa, Virgil Morse, Grandma Ruby Morse, Her Great Aunts, Helen Jarvis, Glen Green, and Mildred Walsh, and cousins, Bob Walsh, Gerald Walsh, and Sandra Walsh.
