Tara Lynn Pritchett-Landaverde, or Snubby to her family and friends, was born on December 18th, 1975 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of John and Sue (Hooper) Pritchett. She grew up in the Woodall Community, with one brother and two sisters, Diana, Anthony, and Melanie. She played softball and basketball, and graduated from Sequoyah High School. After high school, she attended Job Corp Business Administration School, earning her degree in accounting. In 1992, she met and married the love of her life, Felipe Landaverde in Fayetteville, AR. This union was blessed with one son, one daughter and years of love, laughter and memories. Snubby worked as an Accountant for the Cherokee Nation, a job she loved. She loved helping people and was always the first to greet you with a smile. When the work was done, she was home with the family she loved and adored, especially her grandchildren. She often accompanied Felipe to the golf course, but never played much. She loved going out to eat, spending time with her friends at the casino, or going out to hear her favorite local band, The Pumpkin Hollow Boys, or out to the Elks Club to dance with Felipe. When at home every moment she had was spent on her grandchildren, she adored every move they made. She also enjoyed curling up to watch her favorite TV shows, Little House on the Prairie, Judge Judy and Law and Order SVU. She always put her family ahead of herself, she worked on making you laugh, and her love was unconditional. Her health began to fade and she battled illness for numerous years before the Lord called this wonderful wife, mother and grandmother home from her many labors on October 9th, 2022 at Tulsa with those that loved her close by her side. Tara was 46 years old and will greatly missed.
Those that have gone home ahead of Tara include her grandparents, Roy and Nannie Hooper and John Walker and Alice Pritchett, her mother and father, and twin granddaughters, Thalia and Everly Brown.
Her memory will be remembered by her husband Felipe Landaverde of the home, and her children, Slynda Landaverde and companion Jacob Brown of the home and Leonardo ”Turtle” Landaverde and companion Haylee Vann also of the home. She leaves her sisters and brother, Diana Aguilar and husband Poncho of Briggs, OK, Anthony Pritchett and wife Sandy of Tahlequah, and Melanie Pritchett of Tahlequah. She will live on in her three grandchildren, Alayna Brown, Ariella Brown and Roman Landaverde all of Tahlequah, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
