Shelby Reed-Matlock

Shelby Katherine Reed-Matlock was born on May 15th, 1985 in Siloam Springs, AR, and passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on November 13th, 2024 in Tulsa, OK. She was 39 years old. She was the daughter of Stephanie Johnson and husband Rich and Eric Reed and wife Debi. She is survived by her husband, Bo Matlock and two daughters, Makenzie and Haley, who are the jewels of her crown. She has one sister, Courtney Lowman and niece Paislee Lowman. She also leaves numerous family and friends.

Shelby is preceded in death by her grandparents, Levene and Clara Mae Linn and Virgle and Anita Reed.

Shelby is a member of the Cherokee Nation and was a dedicated employee of their Child Development Center for over twenty years. She loved all of the children she took care of. She loved her family and her life revolved around God, her husband Bo and their daughters, Makenzie and Haley. Shelby loved the Lord and singing was her passion and loved bragging about her Jesus. Shelby was the most kind hearted, loving, and the most Godly woman you could ever meet. A true Proverbs 31 woman. Shelby is very loved and will be greatly missed, but we will see her in a little bit.

Funeral services for Shelby Katherine Reed-Matlock will be conducted on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Gary Carey of Covenant Branch Ministries officiating. Her family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024 beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Kansas Cemetery next to her beloved grandparents.

Pallbearers for Shelby include Cody McChristian, Lane Trammel, Larrit Stacks, Jeff Stacks, Brent Reed and Chris Carpenter.
