Sadie Lee Girdner Long

Funeral services for Sadie Lee Girdner Long will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Reed-Culver Chapel from noon until 6:00 PM. Interment will be held at Hungry Mountain Cemetery. Sadie Lee Girdner Long departed this life on Monday, September 19th, 2016 at Northeastern Health Systems. She was born on August 26th, 1942, the daughter of John and Rachel Ellen (Crickett) Girdner. She had five brothers and four sisters. Early in her childhood, she moved in with her grandparents, William Terrell and Rosa Lee (Foutch) Girdner. She married and was blessed with five children, Doug, John, Paula, Judy and baby Angela, who died in infancy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was the genealogy expert on the family tree. She kept track of everyone, just to let them know she cared. She was mom and grandma to everyone, and her grand and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Once she found technology, her iPad was used daily. A Christian by faith, she attended a little country Baptist church whenever she had the chance. Sadie was 74 years old. She will be greatly missed.

Sadie is preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, one daughter, Angela Christine Myers, two brothers, Harold and Gerald Girdner, and two sisters, baby Rachel and Patty Girdner.

Sadie is survived by her two sons, Harold Douglas Girdner and wife Nan of Tahlequah, John Girdner and companion Karen Kirk of Stilwell, OK, and her two daughters, Paula Ann Coiner and Judy Lee Myers all of Tahlequah. She lives on in her grandchildren, Bobby Douglas Davis, Joshua Girdner, Gabrielle Yvonne Myers, Summer Nicole Coiner, Sara Bella Lee Ann Coiner, Rosalie Raeann Myers, and Eris Skye Murray. She leaves her brothers and sisters, Jerry Girdner and wife Brenda of Tahlequah, Betty Cole of Tahlequah, Rita Kay Wolfe and husband Bo of Stilwell, Bill John Girdner and wife Leiloni of Stilwell, and Dale Girdner and wife Mary of Stilwell, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.

Serving as pallbearers for Sadie include Bubby Girdner, Marc Girdner, Christopher Girdner, Phillip “Buddha” Leach, Harold “Bronco” Hammer, and John Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers include Aaron Sweeney, Sequoyah Sanders, Cody Cole, Joe Wisdom, and Terry Lee Thompson.
