Ruth Ann Bantista was born on September 28th, 1962, in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Rudy and Galela (Foreman) Bantista. She grew up with her Rudy Jr., Raymond, Ronnie, Ramona, Renee, Robert, and Rebecca. The family relocated to the Anadarko community, and it was from here that Ruth was a cheerleader and graduated. She enrolled in NSU and obtained her Bacherlor’s Degree in Accounting. She worked for Cherokee Nation, and loved every minute and everyone around her. Ruth was a woman of many talents, all of which she shared with others. She was a wonderful entertainer and a chef in her own right. She made the best fry bread, Spanish rice, brown beans and Indian tacos. She was a loyal and loving mother to Ben, Willie, Rebecca, and Christine. Every activity, every endeavor was supported by their number one fan, Ruth. Ruth enjoyed doing charcoal drawing, reading a good book, listening to her collection of classic rock and funk, and watching an old movie or musical. There was nothing better to Ruth than time spent outdoors, taking the kids to the river for a days swimming and afterwards, one of her cookouts. She was the kind of friend that everyone should be, quick with a smile and her infectious laugh. Always there to lend a hand, and fiercely loyal to stand by your side. She was there when things were great and stood by you when they were less than perfect. She loved unconditionally. Ruth had found the ability to be content with life just the way she found it. She was happy when spending time with her three adored grandchildren, Ico, Abrahm, and Avarie. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Mary’s in Anadarko and St. Brigid Catholic Church in Tahlequah. For all she had left to accomplish, her body grew tired. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on December 29th, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. She was 54 years old. She will be greatly missed for all her love, support and never ending kindness.
She is preceded in death by her mother, her brother Bobby Bantista and her sister, Rebecca Bantista.
Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her father, Rudy of the home in Anadarko, and her four adored children, Benjamin Bantista of Tahlequah, Willie Panther II of Tahlequah, OK, Rebecca M. Hutchins and wife Ty L. Hutchins of Denver, CO, and Christine Panther of Portland, OR. She leaves her brothers and sisters, Rudy Bantista and wife Lorraine of Albuquerque, NM, Raymond Bantista of New Mexico, Ronnie Bantista of Oklahoma, Ramona Quoetone of Tulsa, OK, and Renee Gallo and husband Paul of Mannford, OK. She lives on in her three grandchildren, Ico Bantista of Tahlequah, OK, Abrahm Hutchins and Avarie Hutchins both of Denver, CO, her cousin Gerald Allen of Tahlequah, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
