Ronnie Dean Reynolds

Graveside services for Ronnie Dean Reynolds will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Tahlequah City Cemetery Pavillion. Visitation for Ronnie will be held on Sunday, April 26th, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 Pm at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Mr. Arnold McGee officiating. Pallbearers for Ronnie include Rowdy Reynolds, Lancer Reynolds, Krys Reynolds, Dakota Fields, Darrell Underwood, and Scott Underwood. Honorary pallbearers include Weston Wyatt, Gery Reed, Nathan Bardin, Brandon Bardin, Ron Bland, Ronnie “Thumper” Reynolds, Shane Reynolds, Carney Caughman Jr., Justin Farmer and his old fishing buddy, Tom Flanning.

Ronnie dean Reynolds was born on August 8th, 1941 in Grady, OK, the son of Marvin and Pearl Reynolds. His father passed away young, and his mother married Buster Hatmaker, the man that raised him. Ronnie enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and honorably served his country. Upon returning to civilian life, he attended school and completed his degree at Fresno State University, bareback riding to earn extra income, and worked the remainder of his life as a Hospital Engineer. Whenever he wasn’t working, Ronnie loved being out doors. He loved his Simmental cattle and his horses. He enjoyed pleasure riding or trail riding near Marble City and the cloverleaf circle. He thought a day spent at a good fishing hole was never wasted. He liked to watch the old westerns that featured John Wayne and other famous stars, with “Rawhide” being a favorite. He loved life on the farm and raising his three children to enjoy the pleasure of working outside. He was professional in his business dealings, and onery as all get out with his own family. He possessed a wicked sense of humor and loved to play jokes and tease. He loved to gather with his family to share a holiday meal but also had moments when he liked the solitude found on his own front porch. He was a certified barber, former President of the Oklahoma Chapter of Simmental Cattle Association, attained Grand Master status at Masonic Lodge Number 10 of Tahlequah, OK and a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. Most of all, he was so very proud of his children and grandchildren. He watched each accomplishment and supported them whenever possible. Ronnies health began to fade and the Lord called this hard working cowboy home from his labors on April 23rd, 2015 in Tulsa, OK with his family at his side. He was 73 years old. He will be greatly missed.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Rowdy Reynold and wife Rhonda of Missouri, Lancer Reynolds and wife Leah of Stilwell, OK, and one daughter, Nora Fields and husband Mud of Grandview, OK. He leaves two brothers and one sister, Weston Wyatt and wife Evelyn of Park Hill, OK, Carl Ray Reynolds and wife Sueann of Martinsberg, WV, and Irene Underwood of Tahlequah, OK. His legacy and love of life live on in his eight grandchildren, Nikki Fletcher and husband Ashton, Shane Reynolds and wife April, Krys Reynolds, Dakota Fields and wife Brittany, K.C. Reynolds, Ronnie Reynolds, Laramey Reynolds, and Justin Farmer and wife Joann and special cousin Jodi Bardin as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
