Nancy Elizabeth Reamy Jones was born on Thursday, August 20th, 1942, the daughter of Charles Jasper and Daisy Bell (Hardgrave) Reamy. She grew up in a large household of 10 brothers and 9 sisters, and attained the nickname Fancy Nancy for her love of looking good. She attended Central High School in Tulsa, obtained her GED, and started taking classes at NSU. She met then married the love of her life, Billy Leon Jones on March 24th, 1959. This union was blessed with 60 years and three daughters, Jequeta, Teena, and Kelli. She worked as a secretary for the Lost City School System for over 34 years. One of her greatest attributes (among many) was her ability to love, laugh, and have fun. More often than not, she was the life of the party. She was kind and gentle, but be careful about not getting her stirred up. She would then tell you what she thought! Nancy was generous to a fault, always ready to lend a hand. She thoroughly enjoyed her “Sister trips”, cruising the Carribean, traveling to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN, and dinner aboard the General Jackson Show Boat! She loved time spent with her longtime friend and caretaker of nine months, Cheryl Whitekiller. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was proud of all their accomplishments. Her husband Bill passed from this life in 2018, and her health began to fade. Nancy passed from this life on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 at her home with her loved ones by her side. She was 76 years old. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Bill, three brothers, Charles J. Reamy Jr., Jerry G. Reamy, and Robert E. Reamy, and four sisters, Beulah Hook, Betty House, Shirley Delozier, and Peggy Nester.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Jequeta Jones and husband Jake of Beggs, OK, Teena Barnes and husband Darrell of Peggs, and Kelli Fielden of Tahlequah, OK.
