Marion “Frank” Bolding Jr. was born on Friday, March 1st, 1957 in Muskogee, OK, the son of Marion Frank Bolding Sr. and Wanda (Mayo) Barton. Frank made his living in construction as a heavy machine operator. He knew the meaning of hard work and could fix anything he set his hand to. Even after his retirement, he never missed an opportunity to help someone out, whether offering mechanic work on a vehicle or on a clothes dryer, he could get it back up and running. When he wasn’t working, he liked spending time at the casino or cooking up one of his favorite home cooked meals, especially if it involved a pressure cooker. His all-time favorite was meatloaf with a glass of good ‘olé southern sweet tea. To his grands, he was “Papa Frank” and a visit with him was never short of a good time. He loved spending an afternoon with family and could be found joking and laughing with the grandkids; even breaking into a dance or two just to bring a smile to their face. His health began to fail and on October 1, 2020, Frank went home to be with the Lord in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 63 years and 7 months. His strength and the joy he brought to others will be remembered by all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marion Bolding and Wanda Barton, and one brother, Jimmy Bolding.
Those left to cherish his memory include three children, Misty Drum and spouse Joseph of Oklahoma City, OK, and Frank and Jessie Bolding of Oklahoma City, OK, three brothers, Ray Bolding of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mike and Kenny Barton, and four sisters, Judy Pofhl and spouse Pinky of Tennesse, Shirley Acuff and spouse Bob of Oklahoma City, OK, Darlene Cope of Oklahoma City, OK, and Barbara Parris and Spouse Junior of Muskogee, OK.
