Julie Anne Miller

Julie Anne (Hass) Miller passed from this life on October 3rd, 2022 at her home in Tahlequah, OK. Julie was born on March 4th, 1948 in Lyons, KS, the daughter of Harold and Bernice Jane (Evans) Hass. She shared life with two brothers and four sisters, Jayne, James, Linda, Dana, Michelle, and Marc. She finished high school in Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, TX. Julie married and decided to start her family, and was the proud mother of two daughters and one son, Cynthia, Patricia and James Michael, all of who preceded her in death. She had several careers throughout her life time, her last being at the telephone company in the Administrative Dept. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed cooking delicious meals including her famous potato salad and spaghetti. She loved dancing and especially liked the old classical rock n roll groups like Earth Wind and Fire. When at home, she curled up with a book or the good old black and white movies she knew and loved. Any chance to go out with friends was looked forward to. She was quiet and reserved unless she knew you, and then her sense of humor was exhilarating. Her brothers and sisters were her go to people for support, love and understanding. Her journey on earth came to a peaceful close on Monday, October 3rd, 2022 at her home in Tahlequah. She was 74 years old and will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Julie has gone home to be with her mother and father, her grandparents, her children, Cynthia Moore, Patricia Lewensky, and James Michael Newby. She joins her sister, Dana Hardcastle, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those left to celebrate her life include sisters and brother, Jayne Coleman of Tahlequah, James Stookey and wife Sheila of Galena, OH, Linda Nicholas of Geneso, KS, Michelle Mullins and husband Doc of Dallas, TX and Marc Stookey and wife Carie of Independence, KS. Julie lives on in five grandchildren, one great grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
