Jennifer Marie (Welch) Thompson was born on December 5th, 1975 in beautiful Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Charley and Leona (Wilson) Welch. Growing up in Hulbert, Jennifer pursued her education and proudly graduated Hulbert High School around 1993. Athleticism coursed through Jennifer’s veins, manifesting itself in her love for sports. From the fields of Hulbert where she excelled in softball to the courts where she displayed her talents in basketball, Jennifer’s competitive spirit knew no bounds. Post-graduation Jennifer embarked on a career path as a billing clerk at Lake Region Electric Cooperative where she made numerous friends and a second family. Her warm demeanor and unwavering dedication endeared her to colleagues and customers alike. Whether surrounded by friends or family, she radiated an infectious energy that lit up every gathering she attended. Beyond her personal pursuits, Jennifer’s true passion lay in the company of her loved ones. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often found enjoying women’s OU softball and her favorite TV shows, “Friends” and “The Rookie” being her favorites. In her leisure time, Jennifer’s natured spirit found joy in time spent at the river, traveling with family, and hanging out in her back yard with her three dog’s, Max Banjer and Loki. In the tapestry of Jennifer’s life, one thread gleamed brighter than all others, the bond she shared with her beloved daughter Hailey and her nephew/bonus son TJ. Their presence and love provided solace and strength to Jennifer through every twist and turn that life presented. Jennifer enjoyed practicing softball with her daughter Hailey. When time permitted, Jennifer attended Hailey and TJ’s sports activities and games. Jennifer found joy in family game night, playing board games and cards. She was a music enthuasist, singing all the lyrics to any song she deemed worthy.
Jennifer attended and was a proud member of Spring Valley Free Will Baptist Church in Lost City, Oklahoma. As a Christian by faith, Jennifer was very fond of her church family and loved the lord very much. Although she left this life on September 2nd, 2024, Jennifer’s comical and caring personality will forever live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
