Floyd Dale DeGase was born December 23, 1954 to the late Louis and Jessie (Pritchett) Degase. Floyd was born and raised in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and passed away at the age of 69 on June 21, 2024 in Stilwell, OK.
On January 21, 1975 Floyd married Sherry (Moore) DeGase. They had two daughters, Sandra Chavez and Shawna Robledo. In later years he met Angela Walkingstick and their union brought three daughters, Ashley Esparza, Jessie Dale and Tasha DeGase. Floyd had a love for cars, which led to him being a great mechanic by trade. He also dabbled in carpentry work. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing pool, fishing and a good cold can of beer, among many other things.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Jessie Degase, daughter Jessie Dale DeGase, one brother, Jerry Pritchett, grandson Robert Dean Degase, granddaughter Shania and his best friend, Mike McGregor.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Chavez and husband Fernando, Shawna Robledo, Tasha DeGase, all of Tahlequah and Ashley Esparza and husband Daniel of McAlister. He leaves five sisters, Patricia Bardell and husband Samuel of Tahlequah, Linda Parsons of Catoosa, Debbie Degase and husband Scott Bowlin of Tahlequah, Claudean Peace and husband Rick of Tahlequah, Pearline Agustin and husband Armando of Tahlequah. Floyd is also survived by his 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews who love him dearly.
Funeral services for Floyd will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 3:00pm at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Mark Pritchett officiating. Honorary pallbearers include Chandon Degase, Fernando “Chico” Robledo Jr., Ricky Degase, Andy Hodges, Robert Jones and Jonathan Lyman.
