Versia Faye Potter-Brown was passed from this life on Friday, January 7th, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK. She was born on March 4th, 1939 in Broken Arrow, OK, the daughter of Jack and Versie (Sisney) Potter. She grew up in a large , fun loving family of four brothers and sisters, Nina Jean, WL, James, Monroe, Glenda, June, David and Linda. She attended school and then decided to raise her family marrying Walter Andrew Routh in California. Together they raised a family of sons and daughter, Walter Allen, Diana, Don Dale, and Ronnie. She worked outside of the home as a cashier at retail shops. There was nothing as important to her as her family. She was quick with a smile and loved to see you laugh. When she wasn’t cleaning house or making meals, she loved to curl up and do a little reading. She enjoyed terrorizing her family with her phenomenal Yahtzee and Scrabble skills. She loved time spent with her grand and great grandchildren. She liked to keep them for a game night or just to enjoy each others company. A Christian by faith, she was devout , reading her Bible religiously. The lord called this good and faithful servant home from her many labors on January 7th, 2022 at her home in Tahlequah, OK. She was 82 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her two sons and one daughter, Walter Allen Routh, Don Dale Routh and Diana Routh. She is also preceded by her three brothers and two sisters, William Potter, James Potter, Monroe Potter, Nina Jean Henry, and sister, Glenda. As well as her mother and father.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Ronnie Routh and fiancé Holly Shannon of Tahlequah, OK, one brother, David Potter of Oregon, and two sisters, June Asterholt of Yuma, AZ, and Linda Potter of Fresno, CA, She lives on in her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
It was her wishes to have a private family gathering at a later date.
