Park Hill, OK- Funeral services for Carolyn Annette Graham- Whittmore will be held Today, November 20th, 2014 at the Reed-Culver chapel with Reverend John Lee of Park Hill Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers for Carolyn include Heith Whittmore, Ian Whittmore, Mark Whittmore, Mike Cohea, Charles Bryant, and Brian Croman. Her honorary pallbearers include Tony Croman, Dennis Croman, Terry Croman, Randy Meador and Jerry Lyndsey.
Carolyn Whittmore was born on September 13th, 1938 in Tahlequah, OK the daughter of Lewis Pinkney and Ollie Mae (Thomas) Graham. She attended school in Tahlequah, graduating from Bagley High School. She attended college, then began a lifelong hobby of dealing in antiques. She was gifted at spotting that rare find and enjoyed selling them immensely. She was kept busy assisting with the family business, Whittmore Construction and its day to day operations. She raised exceptional quarter horses, winning numerous races in her career. When she was at home, she enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. She was a gifted cook and baked wonderful cakes and pies for her family and friends to enjoy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved time spent with her family. A Christian by faith, Carolyn was a member of the Park Hill Baptist Church. She had a warm smile and was a friend to everyone. She loved people and always showed her sense of humor. She departed this world on Monday, November 17th, 2014 in Tahlequah, OK, with her family at her side. Carolyn was 76 years old. She will remembered for the love she gave and the happiness she brought to all who knew her.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother and father, two husbands, Coy Whittmore Sr., and A.J. Morrison, and two brothers, Thomas Graham and Glen Graham.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved son and his wife, Coy Whittmore Jr and Diana of Ft. Smith, AR. She leaves two adored sisters, Bonita A. Croman of Tahlequah, OK, Jean Lindsey and husband Jerry of Muskogee, OK. Her legacy lives on in her grandson, Coy Heith Whittmore and great grandson, Ian Maddux Whittmore, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
