Tahlequah, OK- Funeral Services for Beth Machelle Drywater-Foreman will be conducted on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Prairie Church with Pastor Jason Gann officiating. She will have Wake Services conducted on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 beginning at 6:00 Pm at Johnson Prairie Church in Moodys. Her final resting place will be at New Hope Cemetery in Hulbert. OK. Pallbearers for Beth include Anthony Fields, Damon Gourd, Isaiah Gourd, Ryan Girty, Derek Girty, and Sierra Gourd. Her honorary pallbearers include Jerry Girty, Sonny Gourd, Skylar Horsechief and Sonny Foreman.
Beth Machelle Foreman was born on October 26th, 1973 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Darrell Horsechief and Melva (Drywater) Gourd. She was raised by Ross Gourd and her mother Melva in the Moody area. There were 5 brothers and seven sisters in the family, James, Ross, Skylar, Michael, Taylor, Lawanna, Haley, Kelly, Adrienne, Marla, Haley and Shelbi. She met and married her best friend, David Eugene Foreman on September 26th, 2009 in Tahlequah, OK. Together they raised a family of one boy, Cameron and one daughter, Taryn. Beth worked as a child care provider for Little Scholars Daycare, and Beth just loved working with the children. She found them delightful, funny and they made her laugh. When she was at home, there was always a little George Strait playing, or maybe she was getting ready to curl up and watch a little OU football. She loved to take one of her famous casseroles out of the oven and call everyone to dinner. She was charming, happy and had a silly streak. There were never any strangers in Beth’s life, and you were always welcome at her door. She loved her family deeply and did everything to show how much she cared. She was never too busy to share a family meal and the afternoon with those she considered family and friends. A Baptist by faith, Beth was a member of Johnson Prairie Baptist Church all of her life. Her health began to fail her and Beth returned to the Lord she served on Thursday, October 25th, 2018 in Tulsa, OK with all of her family close by her side. She was 44 years old. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her mother Melva Drywater Gourd, her stepfather, Ross Gourd, and two grandmothers, Elizabeth Drywater and Faye Ola Horsechief. She is also preceded by her sister, Marla Horsechief and one brother, Taylor Horsechief.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Foreman of the home as well as her children, Cameron Drywater of the home and Taryn Foreman also of the home. She leaves her brothers and sisters, James Gourd and Melissa Whitekiller of Tahlequah, Ross Gourd Jr., of Tahlequah, Skylar Horsechief and wife Kaylee of Deshler, NE, Michael Ray Johnson of Wagoner, Lawanna Gourd of Tahlequah, Haley Gourd of Tahlequah, Kelly Braden and husband Terry of Tahlequah, Adrienne Horsechief and companion Michael Bennett of Tahlequah, Haley Horsechief of Deshler, NE, and Shelbi Goad of AZ. There are also a special aunt, Donna Girty and husband Jerry of Tahlequah, a special friend Narsy Ramos, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
