Anjilla Dawn Cloud was born on June 6th, 1972 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Gordon and Jessie (Neugin) Cook Jones. She grew up in a large extended family of ten brothers and sisters, Richard, Mike, Rodney, Gordon, David, Sandra, Tammy, Jamie, Sheila, and Sherry. She grew up and graduated from Tahlequah High School. From the day she was born, Anjilla was a true comedian. If this woman couldn’t make you laugh, you were beyond all hope. She was an original gangster, and practically raised herself. You had to love the fact she knew no strangers, she liked everyone, it didn’t matter who you were. She was the proud mother of her daughter, Skylar and her son, Vandis. She adored them and supported them in everything they did in school. When she wasn’t working around the house, she was cooking, smoking, doing a little fishing or kicking it with the everyday country folk that made her happy. She loved music and never lost the chance to jam out to tunes at home, doing her chores. She liked collecting things in the house and had an extensive collection. She liked spending time with her best friend in the world, “Sister” Tina. They liked to share a laugh or seeing about getting into mischief. With the arrival of grandkids, she discovered she really enjoyed the mayhem they brought to life. She loved any chance to spend time with Lailei, Amaya, AnnaRiah, Sonny and Josiah. They made her whole world happy. She also had a great grand puppy named Boss who she couldn’t wait to see. Life wasn’t always easy for Anjilla. Yet you never found her looking for sympathy. She simply got by the best way she knew how. Anjilla passed from this life November 26th, 2024 in Tahlequah, OK, where the story began. She was 52 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, one brother, Gordon” Peanut” Jones Jr, and two sisters, Jamie Walker and Sherry Jones.
Those left to celebrate her life include her children, daughter Skylar Swift and companion Leonard Mitchell of Tahlequah and Vandis Keller AKA Billy Cook and companion Skylar. She leaves her brothers and sisters, Richard Ellyson and wife Misty Ellyson of Westville, OK, Mike Shelite and wife Sheleen of Owasso, OK, Rodney Hiatt of Tahlequah, David Cloud, Sandra Jones, Tammy Guinn, and Sheila Corn. She lives on in her grandchildren, Lailei Jean Swift, Amaya LaRae Keller, AnnaRiah Kosterlistzky, Sonny Able Belvin, and Josiah Eli Belvin, her best friend Tina and Zirayah Kosterlistzky, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
