Paul Primm passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the age of 79. Paul was born on July 8, 1932, in Tularosa, New Mexico to Walter and Cora Lee Primm but he was raised by George and Gertrude Maguglin in Oakville, Texas. He worked for Reynolds Metals, Sherwin Plant for thirty-nine years until his retirement. Then he began a job that he really loved as a traffic guard for Gregory-Portland ISD. Paul was very active in the Taft community. He was a Little League coach and worked at the Community Food Bank. Paul along with his wife, Shirley, was awarded the Taft Humanitarian Award. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Maguglin; two sisters, Lahla Dubose and Georgie Burgess.
Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty-six years, Shirley Primm of Taft, Texas; two sons, Doug (Colleen) Primm of Dripping Springs, Texas and Ronald (Robin) Primm of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Donna (Albert) Aleman of Laredo, Texas; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Gary Sanders of Danville, Arkansas and Verlon Maguglin of Three Rivers, Texas; five sisters: Nadine Gregg of Palm Desert, California, Betty Starnes of Waxahachie, Texas, Adel Byrd of Bandera, Texas, Ruth Bailey of Melbourne, Arkansas and Kathy Armbrust of Weatherford, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Taft. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., March 21, 2012, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
