Daisy M. Rayo

Daisy M. Olin Rayo, 85, of Mattydale, passed away Friday. Born in Orwell, NY, Daisy lived in Mattydale for 60 years and retired from Syracuse Supply. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mattydale Hinsdale Senior Club, St. Peter’s Young at Heart, Assumption Golden Ages, and Mission Circle at Calvary Church. Predeceased by her son R. James Dingman in 1975.

Daisy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joseph; daughters, Mary Ann (Ted) Tomlinson of Ohio, Kathleen (Richard) Macko of Florida, Janet (James) Rommel of Syracuse and Diane Rayo of Clay; son, James Rayo of Mattydale; sister, Gladys Woolson of Vorea, NY; grandchildren, Pamela (Jeff) Marcum of Florida, Kurt (Elaine) Tomlinson of Ohio, Greg, Jeff and Tim Rommel, Aimee and Kevin Rayo; great-grandchildren, Ashley Morgan, Elizabeth and James Tomlinson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:15 a.m. at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in Calvary United Methodist Church, 201 East Molloy Rd. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
