Sula Gonzalez

Sula Gonzalez, 91, of Syosset, NY, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph. A devoted mother she is survived by her sons John (Cathy) of Lido Beach, NY, and William (Bette Jo) of Sterling, VA. She was affectionately known as "Yaya" to her grandchildren John Jr., Marissa, Timothy, Joseph, Grant and Alexander. She is also survived by her brother George Eliades of Seminole, FL, along with many loving nieces and nephews. The cherished daughter of the late Costa and Androniki Eliades, she grew up in Astoria, NY and settled in Syosset with her husband and sons. Viewing will be at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY, 11791 on Friday, February 10th, from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 10am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Field Avenue, Hicksville NY, followed by interment at St. Margaret's Church Cemetery, Plainview, NY. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
