Daniel J. Coffey

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who has passed away on May 31, 2023 after a long and fulfilling life at the age of 79. Fondly remembered as a loving Dad, husband, brother, friend, dedicated public servant and a passionate golfer. He left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he established his career as a member of the Nassau County Police Department where he served with honor and distinction for over 32 years before retiring as a decorated Police Officer. Through his admirable service he built a reputation as a respected source of knowledge and support, earning the trust and respect of his colleagues.

Outside of his work, his true passions were family, friends and golf. He loved spending time on the greens with his friends. He never failed to light up a room with his infectious sense of humor, making him a true and loyal friend to many.

However, his greatest love was for his family. Devoted husband to Christine, his wife of 30 years, loving father to his three children, Daniel (Justine), Laura (Todd) and Michael and their mother Bonnie, brother to five siblings, and proud grandfather to his five grandchildren, Shaina, Brandon, Sean, Justin and Megan; he cherished every moment he spent with them. Nothing brought him more joy than watching his family grow and prosper. His unwavering love and support will be dearly missed.

We will forever miss his warm smile, his calming presence, and his loving dedication to his family and friends. The legacy he\ leaves behind will continue to inspire and enrich the lives of all those he touched. Rest in peace Danny, you're in our hearts forever.
