William Aaron Hutcheson Jr.

Sylvania –William Aaron “Billy” Hutcheson, Jr., age 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Screven County and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad Co. after 39 years of service. He was also a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. He loved his family and loved to golf. He was preceded in death by his Parents: William Aaron, Sr. & Christine Rahn Hutcheson; Brother: Rahnnie Hutcheson; Daughter: Lynn Marie Friese.

Survivors: Wife: Marie W. Hutcheson of Sylvania; Daughter: Sylvia M. Hutcheson of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-In-Law: William A. “Bill” & Kathy Hutcheson of Sylvania; Step-Sons: Mickey E. Austin, Richie A. Austin and Steven E. (Martha) Austin, all of Sylvania; Sister and Brother-In-Law: Martha H. & Carl Lucas of Statesboro; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: David & Voncile Whitehead of Barnwell, SC, Margie Godbee and Friend, Robert Waters of Sylvania, Lewis & Louise Dailey of Millen, GA, Sollie & Betty Whitehead of Louisville, GA, Pat Hutcheson of Statesboro, GA and Lunette M. Whitehead of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Bradley S. Williams, Sydney E. (Jason) Skinner, Halynn Marie Friese, Aiden Aaron Hutcheson and Jordan Lowe; 5 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charlie Cooper and Rev. Al Rahn officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Mickey Austin, Steven Austin, Rahn Hutcheson, Glenn Womack, Michael Bird, Osey Fail and Larry Whitehead. Honorary Pallbearers: Billy’s golfing buddies at Briar Creek Country Club.
