Jacquita "Jackie" Evelyn Byrd Williams

Sardis, GA – Jacquita “Jackie” Evelyn Byrd Williams, age 74, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, GA. She was born in Savannah, GA to the late Ray & Frances Morgan Byrd. She was the previous owner of “Our Family Café” in Sardis for 18 years and was of Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, Josie. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother: Joey Byrd.

Survivors: Husband: James Robert “ Bubba” Williams of Sardis; Daughters and Son-In-Law: Deborah & Mitch Griffith of Evans GA and Tina Marie Coady of Hollywood, SC; Son and Daughter-In-Law: Daniel “Danny” & Melissa Carter of Appling, GA; Step-Daughter and Son-In-:aw: Kamala L. & Jay Neurath, of Rincon, GA; Step-Son and Daughter-In-Law: James R., Jr. & Gloria Williams of Sardis, GA; Sisters and Brother-In-Law: Pamela Grace & Sam Morton of Aiken, SC and Terri B. & Johnny Dale of Louisville, GA; 11 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Monday, May 28, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Sardis Baptist Church in Sardis, GA with Rev. Ernest Johnson and Rev. Nick Bates officiating. Burial following at Sardis Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Pallbearers: Jacob Coady, Scott Coady, Mitchell Griffith, Brett Griffith, Joshua Carter, Sammy Morton, Jay Dale and Miguel Kelly. Honorary Pallbearers: Cameron Stafford, Zane Ellifritz and Deyton Williams.
