Millen – Hoyt Blackburn, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at PruittHealth Bethany in Millen, GA. He was born in Jenkins County, GA to the late Almond & Lucy Dickey Blackburn and was a member of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and mechanic, and was preceded in death by his Parents; Grandchild: H.L. Flakes Blackburn; 2 Sisters and 4 Brothers.

Survivors: Wife: Daisy Saxon Blackburn of Millen, GA; Daughters: Lucille Blackburn and Maybell Blackburn, both of Millen, GA and Debra Blackburn of Statesboro, GA; Son: Daniel Wayne Blackburn, Sr. of Millen, GA; Grandchildren: Michael Hoyt Blackburn, Lynn Marie Kemp, Jonathan Elliott, Crystal Elliott, Daniel Wayne Blackburn, Jr., Heather Anne Carabo, Heather Marie Scott and Edward Jason Takacs; 16 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Friday, March 16, 2018 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Big Horse Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Burial following at the Blackburn Cemetery in Millen, GA.

Pallbearers: Dennis Blackburn, Jr., Michael Hoyt Blackburn, Jonathan Elliott, Alvin Oglesby, James Roberts, Jr., Marvin Blackburn and Daniel Beasley.
