Sylvia Pate Jones

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Sylvia Pate Jones, 87, will be Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Hollins Cemetery in Hollins, AL.

Mrs. Jones died Monday, January 2, 2023 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Lillie Belle Pate, husband of 70 years, Floyd Collins Jones, daughter, Janice Faye Gallman, sister, Faye Murray, sister, Ann Morrison, and brother, Talbert Pate.

She is survived by her two sons, Floyd Glenn (Maria) Jones, Barry Eugene (Sandy) Jones; daughter, Linda Ann (Dan) Burens; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sylacauga Health and Rehab and Coosa Valley Medical Center for their exceptional care of Mrs. Jones during her time of need.

Pallbearers will be Collin Wilson, Jayden Twyman, Cody Lindsey, Ethan Duke, Charlie McVay and Lucas Boozer.
