Samuel Bruce Farris III

Ashland, AL - Funeral service for Samuel Bruce Farris III, 75, will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Barbara Threatt officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Farris passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, AL. He was preceded in death by father, Samuel Bruce Farris, II, mother, Eloise Booth Farris, and step-mother, Mary Alice Badeau Farris Jenkins. Mr. Farris was a beloved man, full of joy and humor. These qualities filled the hearts of those who met him. Laughter and smiles were the medicine he brought to this world.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy Farris Mariduena husband Victor; niece, Elyssa Mariduena; and his cousin, David B. Farris.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Lyles, Carlos Heard, Robert Ware, Anthony Davis, Harold Holman, Johnny Holman, Melvin Dates, and Thomas "Buddy" Stewart.
