Reid Hodges, age 93, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Bills Nichols Veterans Home in Alex City. He is preceded in death by his parents: Edgar Ham and Willie Stewart Hodges; his first wife, Louise McGrady Hodges; his second wife, Alice Rayfield Hodges; two brothers, Rowe Hodges and Billy Hodges; and sister, Kathryn Wright.
Reid is survived by his children, one son, Paul Hodges (Suzanne); three daughters, Reida Blount (Dean), Patsy Hodges and Vickie Fannin (Dwight); six grandchildren, Audrey Roberts (Jonathan), Dusti Armstrong (Gracen), Skyler Blount, Riley Blount, Jonathan Hodges, Julianne Smith; one great-grandchild, Eden Louise Roberts and one brother, Edgar Hodges; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, served from 1950 through 1953 (Korean War). He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Sylacauga.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church of Sylacauga with Rev. Max Buttram officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Reid will be laid to rest in Newsite Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bice, Brad Bice, Jonathan Hodges, Skyler Blount, Jonathan Roberts and Gracen Armstrong. Honorary Pallbearer is Jimmy Gilliland.
