Marcus Dyer Lightsey Sr.

Marcus is survived by his wife, Sissy Lightsey; his sons Marcus Dyer Lightsey Jr. (LaRhonda) and Nicholas Lightsey (Justina); and his daughter Amber McCurley (Nicholas); his brother Johnny Lightsey (Marsha); his grandchildren Markez, Kristie, Koby, Braxton, Haylee, Bella Blake, and Amberlee James, his 1 Great Grandchild and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Marcus was preceded in death by his daughter Jamie Leann Lightsey; his father Lonnie Lightsey Sr. and his mother Sarah Lightsey; and his brother Lonnie "Hoot" Lightsey Jr..

A visitation for Marcus will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg, AL 35044. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. Marcus will be laid to rest in Childersburg Cemetery. All services will be officiated by Rev. Mark Deason

Serving as pallbearers are Greg Adair, Brian Northcutt, Jimmy Yoder, C.J. Williams, Roger Justice, Clay Vick. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Lucky Thornton and Johnny White.
