Funeral service for James Allen Harvel, age 67, of Sylacauga will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2PM at Crooked Creek Independent Church with Brother Doug Williams and Brother Lynn Harvel officiating. He will lie-in-state from 1-2. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2023 from 5-8 at Curtis and Son North Chapel.
Mr. Harvel passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
He was preceded in death by wife, Tina Harvel, parents, James and Peggy Harvel. He was founder and pastor of Lighthouse Prayer and Praise Tabernacle then and went and was pastor at Oxford Congregational Holiness Church. He had a love for horses and was a professional truck driver and owned his own business with a career that expanded over 50 years.
He is survived by his Wife: Deborah Harvel, Sons: Chris Harvel, Shaun Harvel (Paula), Josh Harvel (Whitney), David Harvel (Stephanie), Grandchildren: Sebastian Harvel, Alivia Harvel, Kaitlyn Harvel, Madison Harvel, Caroline Harvel, Charlotte Harvel, Will Harvel, Eva Harvel and sisters, Carolyn Nelson and Diane Catchings.
Pallbearers are Chris Harvel, Shaun Harvel, Joshua Harvel, David Harvel, Sebastian Harvel, Braxton Drummonds, Robert Tampling.
