Charles "Buddy" Hamilton

Sylacauga, AL - Charles “Buddy” Hamilton, also known as “Popper” to his grandchildren, was a loving father, exceptional grandfather and the most genuinely caring man you could ever meet. His family was the center of his world, and he loved them wholeheartedly. He spoiled his grands and great grands absolutely rotten, but also taught them life lessons. He loved Jesus, listening to gospel music, and drinking coffee. He passed away surrounded by family on September 13, 2023, when he was reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Mary.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelia Sanford (Jerry), sons, Chuck Hamilton (Shelia), Randy Hamilton (Crista), Glenn Hamilton (Barrie), Larry Hamilton (Ansley), Mark Hamilton (April), Keith Hamilton (Michele), and brother, Joey Hamilton (Sue), fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Hamilton, sisters Dean Epperson, Betty Pearce, and brothers, Mac Hamilton and Frankie Roberson.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Glenn Hamilton, Larry Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, and Keith Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Mccain and Rodney Epperson.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Donnie Blackmon officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
