Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Betty Virginia Newsome Pearce, 82, will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Methodist Cemetery in Fayetteville, AL.

Mrs. Pearce died Monday, May 8, 2023 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bob Pearce, husband, Charles Robert Newsome, daughter, Kimberly Robin Howell, daughter, Teresa Diane Roberson, father, Joe Hamilton, mother, Pearlene Roberson, sister, Sarah Dean Epperson, brother, Frankie Roberson, and brother, Mack Hamilton.

She is survived by her son, Robert Duane Newsome; daughter, Tammy Gould; six grandchildren, Misty (Steve) Wideman, Mary Beth (Montique) Crowe, Kim (Kevin) Parker, Amy (Hunter) Williams, Brandon (Racheal) Newsome, Jeremey (Samantha) Owens; nineteen great-grandchildren, Robbie, Bethany (Taz), Dakota "Echo", Keyra (Matthew), Xander, Destiny (Dylan), Haley (Ben), Brittany (Heaven), Michael Dale, Allie, Tara (JB), Colton, Chase, Blake, Dustin, Sydnie, Jordan, Kaylie, Morgan; 8 great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Buddy (Mary) Hamilton, Joey (Sue) Hamilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
