Affectionally known to her family and friends as ‘Mama Kat’, Theresa was a very talented seamstress, creating and repairing everything from dresses to Halloween costumes and resolving several wedding emergencies.
She volunteered many years for Scouts Canada and was a fixture in the kitchen at numerous outdoor campouts. In addition to her volunteering, Theresa’s time at Holy Angels High and work at Shoppers Drug Mart for over 48 years created many lifelong and deep friendships.
The last seven years of her life were devoted to her two beautiful granddaughters, Adelyn and Ryleigh, who were the light of her life and treasured their squishy hugs.
Theresa is survived by daughter Danielle Brown (Aaron), granddaughters Adelyn and Ryleigh, mother Bernice MacDonald, siblings Harold MacKenzie (Gail), Helen Walsh (Jim), Michelle Wald (Wayne), step sister Karen MacDonald and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends she made along her journey. Theresa was predeceased by son Stephen, father Stephen, and brother Gordie.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Theresa’s friends and wonderful neighbours, who provided assistance to her over the past several years. A very special thank you to Jimmy Ferrar.
Theresa was such a positive and giving person, and laughter and joy was inevitable around her, wherever she travelled. We will carry her bright light in our hearts forever.
