Raymond Gregory Doucette, 76 of 312 Esplanade, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 18, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Vincent) Doucette. He was a member of Sacred Heart and St. Ann, Membertou parishes. He was a longtime 3rd degree member of the KOC Council 1060. Ray was well known for many years as a photographer having owned and operated Raytel Photograhphy in Sydney. A devoted Catholic, Ray was involved in both his Membertou and Sydney communities, especially the Membertou Elders and Membertou 55 + Club.
He is survived by a nephew Raymond Doucette of Membertou and numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by 3 sisters in infancy and 2 brothers Roy and Douglas.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel with Rev. Anthony O’Connor officiating.
