Mike was born on August 6, 1951, to the late Frank and Mary (MacIntyre) Quinn of East Bay. Mike was previously employed as a bus driver for First Bus Canada. He also worked as a CSR for Acadian Lines and a Crusher Operator Municipal Ready Mix. Later in life, he reconnected with his home community of East Bay while working at the East Bay Country Market.
Mike had many hobbies. He was an avid recreational fisher, played guitar and enjoyed a good game of tarbish with his sisters and brother-in-law Carl and crib with his late brother-in-law Wayne Chiasson. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his favourites teams, Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays with his sons and brother-in-law Pat.
Mike is survived by his sons Michael “Fridge” (Tammy), and Brett, granddaughter Jessica and grandson Kody. He is also survived by his twin sister Sadie (Carl) Sampson, sisters Donna (Pat) Murphy, Ann Marie (Harold) Crawley, brothers Wayne (Bernadette), and Billy (Anne Marie), sister-in-law Hughena Quinn, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mike was predeceased by his wife Daveen (Balsillie) and daughter Trisha and brother John. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law Wayne Chiasson.

A visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, Dec. 1 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11am also at TW Curry Parkview Chapel.
