It is with great sadness that we the family of Louise Agnes (Kieć) Baker announce her peaceful passing on September 7, 2020, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care facility, where she received loving care for the past seven years. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. Born in Whitney Pier on August 18, 1922, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna (Niedzielska) Kieć. Louise was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Terrance ‘Ted’ Baker, a daughter Anne Louise, brothers Ted, Alex, Stanley (in infancy) sisters Mary (Peter Baryluk), Jennie (Tony Melski), Bernice (Edmund Ratushny), Val (Eugene Deturbide) and Cecilia (in infancy). She is survived by children Terry ‘Todge’ (Carol), Ottawa, Gerald, Mississippi, Jo-Anne (Francis) Wall, Sydney, Jean Annette (Richard) White, Sydney and Gary (Patricia) Ottawa. Also surviving are grandchildren Mark, Kevin, Keith, Leah, Terrance and ten great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Laura, Owen, Griffin, Leland, Kellan, Patrick, Andrew, Kohana and Minako. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Louise was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Polish Church and the Altar Society. She was a devoted sister, wife, mother and homemaker. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will take place Friday September 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church with Fr. Dennis Lamey officiating. The service will be livestreamed via TW Curry’s facebook page.
