Born in Crosshill ON, he was the son of the late Alfred & Elizabeth Hahn of Kitchener, ON.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima in Sydney River for 21 years. In his younger years, Lloyd was a professional musician and music teacher. Later in life he became a salesman, where he made lots of friends along the way. Lloyd loved helping people. He had a generous and compassionate nature. He showed such courage living through and battling 4 different kinds of cancer. He took to helping others who faced this similar battle. He helped others who had cancer, come to terms within themselves, giving hope and solace, to those in need. DGW was his motto, ‘doing God’s work’, it even appeared on his license plate.
Surviving are his wife Christine (Proctor) Hahn, daughters Kimberley Hahn (John Dancavitch), grandchildren, Jillian Fairchild (Steve Thompson), Lindsay (Justin) Keats, great-grandchildren, Sage, Valor and Meghan, step great-grandchildren, MacKenzie and Sydney; step-niece and grand nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brother Roy (Kathleen) Hahn and his sister Florence (Bill) Gillespie.
Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Sunday Aug 11, 2019 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George Street, Sydney. Funeral service will be at 11am in the chapel on Monday the 12th with Fr. Devereaux officiating.
Services in Kitchener will be announced at a later date. Donations, if desired, can be made to the SPCA, The Feral Cat Society, or the Sr. Rita Clare Scholarship Fund.
