Halifax
We the family regret to announce the passing of Jasmine “Jazz” Ann Calder Galloway on April 24, in Halifax.
Jasmine was born on August 20, 1996 at the IWK in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
She is survived by her father Josh Galloway (Charlene), her mother Stacey Galloway (Keith Hawco); brothers Dalton, Carter and Jacob, sister Emily;. grandparents Bonita Calder, Kathy McWilliam, and Gary Galloway; aunt Sarah Galloway, and uncles Charles Calder (Amanda MacDonald), John (Heather) Calder, and Jesse Galloway.
She was predeceased by her grandfather Alex Calder.
Jasmine loved spending time with her family and friends and was especially close with her brother Carter and her lifelong friends Sarah Walsh, Tamara Milley, and Shvonne Peach. Many evening spent at home cuddled together watching their favorite movies again.
Those who were lucky enough to really know Jasmine appreciated her twisted sense of humour, and unique outlook on life. A loyal friend always willing to tell you the truth and offer the support needed to face it.
Jasmine enjoyed expressing her creative side and loved to attend cons for cosplay in Halifax and Montreal. She had a real passion for watching anime, and reading manga, and became quite a good manga artist herself.
Jazz loved to travel, and had the opportunity to go to Florida, Ontario, Quebec, PEI, England, France, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Germany, and New York. She lived in many areas of Nova Scotia, and also Boulder, Colorado
Jasmine life was too brief but she would want us to remember to enjoy each of the moments we have with one another. Not to be afraid to ask for what you want, but never expect it to be given.
A service will be held on Monday May 2 at 11:00 am at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A reception for family and friends will follow.
