Jane Elizabeth 'Betty' Gaigneur

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jane Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Gaigneur announce her passing on August 18, 2020, at MacGillivray Guest Home, at the age of 77. Born in Louisbourg, NS, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Cecilia MacDonald. Betty was a wonderful mom and woman. She was always laughing and loved to play bingo and do activities at home. Betty is survived by her daughter Wanda (Lindsay), granddaughter, Cheryl, great-granddaughter, Chasity, sister, Doris (Eugene) Cheverie, NS, stepsisters; Laura and Linda, brother-in-law, Henry Gaigneur and Alonzo Deveaux, as well as many nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband Peter Gaigneur, son Henry Phillip, grandson Stephen, sister, Sharon Deveaux, and brother Gordon MacDonald. We would like to thank the staff at MacGillivray Guest Home for their wonderful kindness to mom. They were all so lovely to her. We would like to say thank you to Solonge, who works at MacGillivray Guest Home for helping out so much. We appreciate what she did for us. Also to James, who is a very good friend and care worker at the home, thank-you. A private family gathering will take place.
